In 2008, we will be organizing the 3rd Anatolian Course of Interventional Neuroradiology (ACINR) with the pleasure and honour of joining to 5th International Intracranial Stent Symposium (ICS) in 5-9 May 2008, ANKARA. We are hoping to create a chance for neurointerventional industry, R&D engineers and operating physicians to get together discussing and learning from each other during live neuroendovascular case demonstrations of ACINR and also during the state of the art lectures and discussions of ICS meeting to create a joint event between practicality, theory and future trends while many cerebrovascular diseases are, more and more, started to be treated with intracranial stent applications.
The joint meeting will start with live case demonstrations of ACINR that will be carried out from 3 state of the art biplane angio suites in Hacettepe University Hospital with the latest Siemens neuroangiographic imaging tools and additional priviliged facilities/softvvares in consequence of our being one of the primary sites. ACINR will be keeping the same philosophy of the previous years, being entirely dedicated to ali the technical tricks / details of neuroendovascular procedures, beginning each case with selection of access devices, detailing ali intraoperative technical / device strategies as they occur and ending with informal discussion about:
Advanced reconstructive endovascular cerebral aneurysm treatment techniques with

- Stent Assisted Coiling with the latest stent technology

- Liquid embolic Onyx

Advanced curative cerebral AVM and Dural AVF treatment
Carotid stenting with distal protection
Intracranial PTA / Stenting for cerebral atherosclerosis, with dedication of one full day of transmission to the live intracranial stenting cases to create an informal discussion betvveen neurointerventionalists and R&D engineers of industry creating an interactive get together of practicality and theory so both sides vvould understand the needs of each other..
The joint meeting will then continue with ICS. We are honored to organize this futuristic academic conference that was created by Dr. Daniel Rüfenacht, Dr. Pedro Lylyk and Dr. Waro Taki who kindly included Dr. Saruhan Çekirge in their group. The purpose of the meeting is to treat complex cerebral vascular diseases with application of various types of intracranial stents. To create such an outstanding stent technology, a perfectly entegrated approach should overcome joining the fields of neurointerventional medicine, biology and engineering technology.
ICS-ACINR 08 joint organization that will merge practicality and futuristic science, will bring together physicians, engineers, technologists, physicists, producers of medical devices, financiers, and corporate management to present, discuss, and accelerate progress in intracranial stent technology.
